SAS Certifications (Newbie)

The SAS Certified Professional Program was launched by SAS Institute, Inc. in 1999 to recognize users who can demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SAS software. The program consists of five certifications across a number of functional areas. There are several SAS courses which prepare users for the certification exams. To date many programmers have taken these courses, some experienced users just take the exams, and there are many other SAS savvy professionals who are experienced but not SAS certified.

SAS Exam Registration

SAS Global Certification exams are administered by Thomson Prometric, a global leader in testing services for the IT industry with testing sites in over 140 countries. Please note that the Predictive Modeling with SAS Enterprise Miner 5.2 Exam is not available through Thomson Prometric. You can register for this exam here.

SAS Exam Cost

In the United States and Canada, the cost associated with an exam is US $180. Certification exam prices are subject to change. In some countries, different pricing and additional taxes may apply. Please contact the Thomson Prometric Regional Service Center in your country for exact pricing information. Faculty, staff, and full-time students of degree-granting institutions are eligible for a discount on SAS Certification exams. Candidates in the United States receive a 50% discount. International candidates should check with your local office for discount information.
